Nathanial White has been performing for over twenty years. He has studied bass at both the Manhattan School of Music and Montclair State University under Linda McKnight as well as conducting with Maestro Paul Hostetter at Montclair State University. In his youth, he was selected to appear in the television program "A Musical Encounter" produced by Sylvia Kunin. Nathanial's bass career started early as he entered various solo competitions. In 1999, Nathanial won the Grand Prize in the New Jersey American String Teachers Association (ASTA) State Solo Competition and in 2008 he won the Montclair State University Concerto Competition.  He has performed solo concerti with several orchestras including the New Jersey Youth Symphony, The Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, and The Doctor’s Society Orchestra of New York.  In 2008, Nathanial co-founded the Freelance Ensemble Artists of New Jersey, in partnership with conductor and composer Anthony Maglione.  He currently maintains a large private studio, performs professionally in New York and New Jersey and serves on the faculty of the New Jersey Youth Symphony.
