Conductor/composer/tenor Anthony J. Maglione is a graduate of Westminster Choir College of Rider University (BM) and East Carolina University (MM). While at Westminster Choir College, he had the opportunity to be part of the school's 73 year legacy of performing and recording with the worlds leading orchestras and conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Joseph Flummerfelt, Zdeneck Macal, and Kurt Masur. While at East Carolina University, Anthony also had the opportunity to perform at both Regional and National ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) conventions and, based on his outstanding scholarship and dedication to his craft, he was inducted into Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society in 2007.

As a tenor, Anthony has performed as a professional soloist in oratorio and recital engagements. He has also appeared as a soloist on the Gothic Label album Greater Love: The English Choral and Organ Tradition featuring the East Carolina University Chamber Singers conducted by Dr. Daniel Bara. As a composer, Anthony was a student of Ed Jacobs. He has had numerous works performed by High School, Festival, All-State, Collegiate, Community, Religious, and Professional Organizations in concerts, recordings, video games, and on TV and is published on GIA's "Evoking Sound" choral series. In 2005, Anthony was commissioned to compose "Prayer of Columbus" for performance at the United Nations in New York City. In 2008, his anthem "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee" was performed by the Crystal Cathedral Choir both at the Western Division ACDA convention and on the internationally syndicated television broadcast "The Hour of Power". In 2009, he composed the soundtrack for the video game “National Geographic Traveler's Sudoku: China!” and his choral work "Oh Thou Great Power, In Whom I Move" will appear on ECU Chamber Singers' Gothic label recording to be released later in the year. Anthony will also be the featured composer for the choirs of the New England Conservatory during the 2009 - 2010 concert season.

As a conductor, Anthony has prepared and conducted a wide range of works from instrumental and vocal chamber works to full symphony and choral master works and has served on the faculties of the New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) and the Westminster Choir College Summer Vocal Institute. From 2001 to 2005, Anthony was the director of the Piscataway High School (NJ) choirs. A large (200 + voice) performance intensive department who made regular performances at NJ State Department of Education meetings, Teen Arts Festivals, and Carnegie Hall. In 2007, Anthony was one of eight selected as a semi-finalist in the ACDA National Student Conducting Competition. In November of 2009, he will conduct the NYSSMA Zone 7 Area All-State choir in Saratoga Springs. Anthony has studied conducting with Daniel Bara, James Jordan, Andrew Megill, and Donald Neuen. Anthony is currently the Director of Music Ministries at American Lutheran Church in Burbank, CA, Artistic Director of Freelance Ensemble Artists of NJ, Assistant conductor of the Angeles Chorale, and is studying for a doctorate in Conducting with Donald Neuen at UCLA where he is the conductor of the University chorus.
